Hi, everybody! I think we can all agree that 2020 has not been our friend. In fact, it’s been a load of awful. However, I recently achieved an unexpected and amazing milestone. It made my day (week, month) and I’d love to spread a little of that happiness to other people. This is my long-winded way of saying I’m doing a giveaway. I’ll be giving away four $25 Amazon gift cards next Friday.

As much as I love interacting with people on Twitter, it’s all the wonderful people who talk about books with me that I really want to show extra appreciation for. That’s you all! So, you don’t need to share this on Twitter, or do a tap dance (although that would be awesome), or anything like that. To enter, just comment below and tell me what book you’d use it on. I mean, unless you plan on using it on a toaster or something. Totally your prerogative. I just need a comment below so I know to enter your name into the giveaway. I’ll draw randomly, and let you know if you win- so check back next week!

Thank you all for making 2020 booktastic (yep, I’m making up words now)!

  1. Congrats! Aside from a buying a brand new toaster ๐Ÿ˜‚, Iโ€™ve been thinking about diving into William Gibsonโ€™s Neuromancer. Also would love to pick up Dune for a reread. Canโ€™t find my old copy from high school anywhere!!

  4. Hello. Well, since I already purchased “Mexican Gothic” by Silvia Moreno-Garcia, then I would have to say that I would purchase “Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You: A Remix of the National Book Award-winning Stamped from the Beginning” by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi.

  5. Well, I think the first book I’d use it on would be The Mothers by Brit Bennett (I know, people have been raving about her new novel, but that interests me less than her debut novel), and the other book I’d really like to read is The Last Blue by Isla Morley.

  6. Sort of. I’ve not read any of her stuff, but it is all on my TBR. She is a very nice woman and her books sound wonderful. Sea Witch and Sea Witch Rising are the books that turned me on to her. Then she has a YA called Throw Like a Girl. The new one coming up is called The Princess Will Save You. They all seem so different, which makes me interested in her even more.

  7. Congratulations! Much-deserved. You put a lot of work into spreading the word about good books. If I had a gift card I would use it to pre-order THE TRIALS OF KOLI by M.R. Carey, since THE BOOK OF KOLI is my favorite so far this year.
